  87. BBS Access is a shareware program.  This evaluation version includes
  88. all features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may
  89. use it for up to 30 days, without charge (see BBS.DOC for more
  90. details).  If you like the program, and wish to continue its use after
  91. this evaluation period, you are required to pay for the program (see
  92. REGISTER.DOC for more details).  Any fee you may have paid to others

  119. The installation procedure for BBS Access is quite simple.  The
  120. package includes a program, "INSTALL.EXE", which automates the
  121. entire process.  You will need about 200K of available disk space
  122. on the hard drive on which you plan to install BBS Access.
  123.  
  124. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received the
  125. BBS Access communications package.
  126.

  128. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  129.  
  130. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  131.  
  132.    o  Place the BBS Access distribution diskette in the
  133.       appropriate diskette drive.
  134.  
  135.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program on the distribution diskette.
  136.       For example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:, type
  137.       the MS-DOS command, "a:install".
  138.  
  139.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  140.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  141.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  142.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  143.       the BBS Access files to that directory. If you so direct it, the
  144.       installation program will install executable programs and
  145.       documentation in other directories of your choice.  It will make
  146.       no other changes; specifically, it will not modify your
  147.       autoexec.bat or config.sys files.

  150. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  151.  
  152. If you downloaded BBS Access from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  153. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  154. following steps.
  155.  
  156.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  157.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  158.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  159.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  160.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  161.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  162.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  163.       the package.

  165.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  166.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  167.       the BBS Access package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would execute the MS-DOS
